Cool My car of the day, SARD Toyota GR86 GT1.

SARD, who are tuning specialist for Toyota's racing division have presented the GR86 GT1 concept previewing their upcoming tuning kit for the rear-wheel drive sports car. This concept has evolved in design for a much cleaner look with a redesigned bumper that has an elongated central intake above a neatly intergraded splitter, triangular side intakes and a badgeless nose. You'll note the side sill extension towards the front and rear fenders forming a visual connection with the bumpers and the white shade of the body and aero parts create a contrast with the dark finish 18 inch BBS alloy wheels. To the back sees new taillights with black background and round LED graphics, two large tailpipes and a low-positioned wing made of carbonfibre. The cabin features a titanium shift knob, red leather on the bucket seats with SARD badges on the headrests and red footwells. Mechanical upgrades are a torsen limited slip diff for greater traction and lowered and stiffer suspension. No power increases to note but it'll be nice to see a hike to around 300 Horses from the stock 232 Horses.

Like it?

yeah I like that, have they fitted the rear spoiler poorly? Looks like a gap between the spoiler and the boot lid to me.

I quite like the new ones. I'm not overly sold on the looks, I think the first gen ones look better.

I like that.

Nice curves without "angular bits 'cus we can do angular bits"

And it's not all about stupid levels of BHP. A delightfully balanced power/chassis/suspension set up will bring that silly grin syndrome .

Andy.
