Is this a record?

Norfolk Police find man driving 20 minutes after disqualification.

I'm not sure if it's an urban myth but I'd heard the Police have been known to wait outside the courts for cases such as this to see if convicted drivers do actually get straight back into vehicles.

I have seen such stories in the media - people arrested trying to drive away from court after conviction.

If the officer's concerned are at Court to give evidence, it's possible they see the convicted walking towards the car park swinging a set of keys and think "ello, ello, ello"

Idiot, should be banned permanently for lack of common sense. Any car owned by a banned driver should(might do already) be set to ping on ANPR cameras. Same as adapted number plates too, can't see why cameras aren't used to send fines through the post.

Take his keys away and stand on his balls.
Then put him in prison for a while.

I’m guessing here the ANPR camera would have picked up the lack of insurance first and they just happened to hit the jackpot with the disqualification.

Saying that, I wouldn’t bet against the officers present at court advising their units of the car that offender has arrived/left so they can keep an eye out.
